Postdating stock options

This site contains a record of various SEC documents relating to stock options backdating. Backdating allows a firm to "grant" options at strike prices that are lower than the current price of the stock. The use of stock options has increased and can be a good way to align the interests of employees and owners. Backdating is legal if the Board of Directors consents, illegal if not. The site lists numerous examples of illegal backdating.
